Energy
Energy is the ability to do work or to make something move or change in some way.
Flower
The flower is the part of the plant that blossoms and grows fruit and seeds so that new plants can grow.
Leaves
Leaves are the part of a plant that soaks up sunlight and makes food for the plant.
Nutrients
Nutrients are the things that plants or animals need to grow and to stay healthy.
Roots
Roots are the part of the plant that usually grows underground and soaks up nutrients and water for the plant.
Stem
The stem of a plant carries nutrients and water from the roots to the rest of the plant.
Roots

The roots grow in soil and soak up nutrients and water for the plant. Roots also hold the plant in place, so the wind does not blow it away.

The stem carries nutrients and water from the roots to the rest of the plant. The stem also holds up the plant.
Leaf

Leaves make food for the plant. Sunlight gives the leaves energy to make food.
Flower

Flowers grow fruit and seeds so that new plants can grow. Seeds are usually inside the fruit. You can see tiny seeds on the outside of strawberries.
