Canadian immigration
Canada is a country made up of people from all over the world. People who have moved from one country to another are called immigrants. Some immigrants who live in Canada choose to work and live here but do not become citizens. Other immigrants choose to become citizens. Once they meet the requirements to become a Canadian citizen, they must take the oath of citizenship.
The Oath of Citizenship
I, _______ swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada, and fulfill my duties as a Canadian citizen.
