6.B2.8 represent and solve problems involving the division of three-digit whole numbers by decimal tenths, using appropriate tools, strategies, and algorithms, and expressing remainders as appropriate

Follow the order of operations to evaluate an expression.

   8 × 3 − 32 ÷ (10 − 6 )

1. Do the operations inside brackets.      8 × 3 − 32 ÷ (10 − 6 )

2. Multiply or divide in order from left to right.   = 8 × 3 − 32 ÷ 4 

3. Add or subtract in order from left to right.     = 24 − 8

    = 16
