Natural and Manufactured Materials

Some materials are found in nature.

Rubber is made from the sap of rubber trees.

Wood comes from trees.  Some trees are made into boards. Other trees are used for paper.

Materials such as fabric are made by people.
These are called manufactured materials.

A beach pail is made from plastic.

Paper is made from tiny wood chips mixed with water.
