Ontario Curriculum Expectation:

6.E2.4 determine the areas of trapezoids, rhombuses, kites, and composite polygons by decomposing them into shapes with known areas.


To find the area of a rhombus, use the formula ab × cd ÷ 2.

The units of area are square units, such as cm2 or m2.
