Prisms and pyramids are 3-D objects. Objects have length, width and depth.

Prisms have two bases that are parallel and the same. The bases determine the name for the prism. The bases are joined by rectangular faces.
Pyramids have one base connected to triangular faces. The triangular faces meet at the apex.
The bases determine the name for the pyramid.
