- 6 clear plastic cups
- 1.5 L of water
- Spoon
- 5 mL each of sugar, salt, baking soda, pepper, sand
- 2 marbles
What You Do
- Fill each plastic cup half full of water.
- Using your spoon, stir one solid substance into one cup of water.
- Record what you see. Use words or pictures.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3, putting each solid into its own cup.
